Summer is officially in full swing, isn't it? But if you're anything like me, the "busy" has followed us despite the change in routine. School breaks, looser schedules, and longer days often just mean a different kind of hustle. And as much as we wish it would slow down, in just a few weeks, our routines will once again snap back to "normal" as school and work resume. It's astonishing how fast time truly flies – whether or not you're having fun, it seems to have a mind of its own.
For these last precious weeks of summer, I'm making a conscious choice to lean in and savor every last bit. This summer holds a particularly poignant significance for me. It marks my last summer as a stay-at-home mom, as I prepare to return to the classroom after over a decade away. It's also my last summer with "little" kids underfoot all day, as my youngest is now of age to join her older siblings at school. It truly feels like the end of an era, and my heart is longing to bask in every sun-drenched moment, every sticky Popsicle, and every late-night giggle for as long as possible before the new normal takes over.
This month, I invite you to join me in exploring the art of romanticizing these last few weeks of summer. We'll learn how to slow down and truly soak in all it has to offer, finding magic in the everyday – because the truth is, the magic isn't always in grand gestures, but often in the tiny, whimsical details.
Even if you can't completely escape the hustle and bustle this time of year, I believe we can still find moments to feel whimsical throughout the day, and intentionally carve out time to enjoy those favorite parts of summer that will truly delight your inner child!
