Can you believe we are already at the end of 2025? This year has been a whirlwind of big transitions, sweet celebrations, and quiet moments of reflection. As I look back through my camera roll, I’m reminded of how much can happen in twelve short months. For today's Blogmas post, I'm sharing the highlight of each month to recap my year. Let's get into it!
January: Cozy Snow Days
The year started with a blanket of white. We had several snow days that kept us tucked inside, giving us extra time together that we didn’t even know we needed. It was the perfect slow start to the year.
February: Solace in the Small Things
February was a tough one; our household was hit hard with illness. In the middle of the "sick bay" chaos, I found a surprising sense of peace in bird watching from my window. It was a gentle reminder that even in the quiet or difficult seasons, there is beauty to be found.
March: Seussical the Musical
My oldest two stars took to the stage! Watching them perform in their school’s production of Seussical, directed by their Dad, was such a highlight. There is nothing quite like the pride of a "theater mom."
April: A Risen Savior
In April, our hearts were focused on the most important event of all. We celebrated the resurrection of our Savior, Jesus Christ. It was a beautiful time of worship and family gathering.
May: High Five!
My "baby" isn't such a baby anymore. My youngest, Elora, turned five years old! We officially have a big kid on our hands, and our hearts are so full.
June: Dance Recitals & Shakira
June was all about the girls! My middle child, Evie, had her annual dance recital (always one of my favorite days of the year). To top it off, my cousin Erica and I took her to see Shakira on tour in Phoenix! It was her first concert, and we had the absolute best time.
July: Official Teenager in the House
Huge milestone alert: My oldest, Zeke, turned 13! We officially entered the teenage years this month. We celebrated with our annual family vacation to the beach, soaking up the sun and salt air.
August: Birthday Pampering
I turned 37 this month! As a treat to myself, I had my very first full nail salon experience. It felt so luxurious. I definitely wish I could make that a regular habit!
September: Back to School (For Me!)
This was a life-changing month. For the first time in 13 years, I stepped back into the classroom as a teacher. It’s been a transition, but so rewarding to be back in the world of education.
October: Double Digits Plus One
My middle baby celebrated her 11th birthday. Watching her grow into her own person is such a joy. She is truly the heart of our home.
November: A Moment of Gratitude
November kicked off our busiest season of the year, but we made sure to pause for Thanksgiving. Having everyone gathered around the table before the holiday rush was the perfect reset.
December: The Greatest Gift
We’ve made it through the hustle and bustle! After all the school concerts and end-of-year programs, we were finally able to slow down and celebrate the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ. I’m so ready to soak in these final weeks of 2025 with my favorite people.
