37 Before 38 | Blogust 2025

As I'm about to turn 37, I've been thinking a lot about the years behind me and the one ahead. It's easy to let birthdays come and go, but this year, I decided to do something different. I'm challenging myself to make the next 365 days the most productive and meaningful year of my life. To do that, I created a bucket list: 37 things to do before I turn 38. This isn't just about fun; it's about growth, connection, and purpose. I'm inviting you to join me as I share my journey and the list that will guide it.

1. Read 12 books. One book a month!
2. Start saving and get my finances in order!
3. Go on a sugar fast.
4. Reverse my prediabetes diagnosis.
5. Create a capsule wardrobe to feel amazing!

26. Continue to make my seasonal bucket lists, but actually check off (most of) the things!
27. Create my dream home, starting with finally updating my bathroom.
28. Treat myself to regular spa days!
29. Swap worrying with praying without ceasing!
30. Choose to "do" and at least "try" even if I fail.
31. Indulge in my hobbies every chance I get!
32. Sleep in every chance I get!
33. Learn to become a morning person again if I can't sleep in!
34. Stop being so hard on myself, and speak kindly about myself in front of my children.
35. Continue blogging regularly (Hello, Blogtober & Blogmas)!
36. Wear the dress, do the thing, use all the stickers - stop waiting for "perfect" and be present right now!
37. Write my 38-year-old self a letter that, no matter what happens over the next year, there's still time and God isn't finished with us yet!

Creating this list has already been an incredibly motivating experience, and I can't wait to start checking off each item. The journey of making this my most meaningful year yet begins now! I'll be sharing updates on my progress here on the blog. In the meantime, I'd love to hear from you! What's one thing you would add to your own bucket list for the year ahead?
