Celebrate Christmas with Team Wesley

I'm currently writing at midnight the day after Christmas. I can't sleep due to some pain in my elbow joint (hooray for growing older). While my family is sleeping peacefully, I was going through my photos from Christmas weekend. If you're following me on Facebook you may have already seen them, but if not, keep reading; I'll be sharing them with you below, too. I have a lot to ponder. I have much to be thankful for. When I woke up this morning to a calm, still house, I was overcome with gratitude. My children were safe, warm, fed, and sleeping soundly. My husband was next to me, radiating warmth and creating a haven of peace and calm for our snoring toddler. I woke up to a home that isn't much to look at, but it is warm and has electricity and has provided me and my family with shelter now for over a decade. There is quite a lot I take for granted, quite a lot I could do without honestly. But God has blessed me so greatly, and this morning it felt as if my eyes had been peeled open wide enough to perceive it all.

Thank you, Lord, was all my heart could muster, but the Creator of my heart knows exactly the meaning behind it.

While I'm nursing my arm until I can get in to see a doctor, I wanted to go ahead and share the highlights of our Christmas weekend as the Blogmas grand finale. To those of you who read my blog, or follow me on Instagram and Facebook and have mentioned how much you enjoy what I write and the photos I share; I thank you from the bottom of my heart. Your encouragement and support means the world to me. Since I was young, God has put it on my heart to write, and I believe this passion of mine can be used as an instrument to share His Truth. I hope to continue writing to you in the coming year, hopefully as consistently as I have this past month!

Don't be fooled by our posed photos, we are just as real and normal as they next family. Our kids are energetic and our nerves are shot at the end of most days. We sometimes have short tempers and sometimes are supernaturally calm and comforting to one another. No matter what happens behind the scenes, I am so happy to be able to celebrate life and love and the Lord with Team Wesley!

I truly hope that the joy of Christmas stays alive in each of our hearts as we end this year and begin another. God willing, it will be a blessed and prosperous one for us all! Please enjoy this last video to end Blogmas 2022 and a few photo memories I wanted to give a permanent place here on my little corner of the internet.

Blogmas may be over, but I'm just getting started writing to you! I can't wait to see how the Lord inspires me and places on my heart to share with you in 2023!
