Fall Faves & Craves (2026 Edit)

Living in a "have-it-now" world makes it harder to enjoy seasonal favorites at the right time. While canned pumpkin is available year-round, it never quite tastes as sweet as it does in October and November. Instant gratification aside, some things are simply meant to be savored in the autumn.

As I've grown older, summer has steadily lost its appeal. Growing up, those months meant freedom: staying up late, sleeping in, long days in the sunshine and pool, and extra time with my favorite cousins. These days, summer brings a mountain of extra laundry, endless meal planning, and tons of dirty dishes. Autumn, on the other hand, restores a steady routine and a consistent weekly schedule. That structure gives me the space to intentionally carve out free time for my favorite things and meaningful moments with family.

As with any time of year, certain activities and little joys make the season feel truly magical. Today, I'm sharing my absolute favorite all-things-autumn list—the treats and traditions I want to experience before the holiday rush begins.

Autumn Things to Eat / Pumpkin French Toast, Snickerdoodles, Maple Blondies, Appalachian Stack Cake

Autumn Things to Enjoy / Pumpkin Chai Body Lotion, Homeland Harvest Candle, Fall Foliage, Pumpkins & Mums

Autumn Things to Wear /  Cozy Cardigans, Boots, Plaid, Autumnal Dresses and Accessories

Autumn Things to Do / Fall Movie Marathon, Visit a Pumpkin Patch and/or Apple Orchard, Make Caramel Apples, Carve Jack-O-Lanterns
