Can you believe October is here? If you've been around the blog for a while, you know how much I love this month. And this year, we are celebrating Blogtober in the most delicious way possible. I am thrilled to officially kick off a brand-new weekly series: Adventures in Baking!
Each week this month, I'll be stepping into the kitchen to test out a mix of brand-new-to-me creations and updated, comforting nostalgic fall recipes. We are going to make our homes smell amazing, embrace the slower rhythms of the season, and taste test plenty of sweet treats together.
To kick off our very first week, the star of the show is one of my absolute favorite autumn spices: cinnamon.
There is something instantly grounding about the scent of cinnamon drifting through the house on a crisp autumn day. I’m pairing a steaming, comforting cup of Hot Cinnamon Sunset tea with a fresh-baked batch of brown butter snickerdoodles.

The nutty depth of the browned butter takes a classic childhood cookie and gives it the coziest, elevated seasonal twist. Trust me, you are going to want to bake a batch of these for yourself this week! Don't forget to grab your recipe card below! And the secret ingredient I add to my Cinnamon Sunset tea to make it super sweet and extra spicy? A spoonful of Red Hots!

I want to know: what is your ultimate go-to fall baking spice? Are you team cinnamon all the way, or do you lean more toward pumpkin spice, nutmeg, or cardamom?
Pull up a chair, grab a warm mug, and let me know in the comments below. I can't wait to bake our way through October together!
