Winter & Spring | Design Your Year Day 8

Winter and Spring Sprints Design Your Year Challenge

We have pruned the list and shortened the timeline. Now, it’s time to build the dashboards for the first half of your year. The first six months of 2026 are about momentum. If you get the first half right, the second half almost takes care of itself. We categorize these into two distinct energies: Winter (The Soil) and Spring (The Sprout). Today, we map out exactly how you will spend January through June.

Think of your year like a garden. In Winter (Q1), you aren't looking for fruit; you are preparing the soil. This is the season for "Internal Work:" cleaning up your environment, setting up your systems, and installing the habits that will support you later. If you try to "harvest" in February, you will be disappointed. Spring (Q2) is when the energy shifts. This is the season for "External Work:" taking your foundation and pushing it out into the world. It requires the most consistent "watering" and effort. By separating these two, you set realistic expectations for your progress.

In Your Guidebook Pages 26-27, fill out your Winter and Spring Dashboards.
For Winter: Focus on "Clean Up." What habits need to be installed? What "Dead Weight" from your Day 1 Audit needs to be cleared out? What is the one big "Setup" project that needs to be finished by March 31st?
For Spring: Focus on "Visibility." What are you launching? What project needs to "bloom"? Who do you need to reach out to? Define what "Success" looks like for June 30th.

BONUS | The 10-Minute Reset: Pick a "Theme Song" or a specific playlist for the first half of your year. Music is a powerful anchor for the brain. Whenever you hear this music, it should trigger "Deep Work mode." Use this auditory cue to signal to your brain that it is time to work on your Q1/Q2 foundation.
