It’s been a minute since I just sat down and shared an honest update on what’s happening behind the scenes. With Blogtober officially underway, I figured a quick "Currently" post was the best way to get us all on the same page! Think of this as a mini-update on my personal life: a few things I’m obsessed with, the projects I'm working on, and what I’m hoping to accomplish over the next few weeks. Ready to dive into what's currently going on? I'm ready to spill the tea, Reader!
I just finished A Dark and Secret Magic by Wallis Kinney. I'm halfway through Catch Me If You Candy: A Bakeshop Mystery by Ellie Alexander.

Ludovico Einaudi's In a Time Lapse album.
Tuesday night I watch Dancing with the Stars and Wednesday is for the new season of Abbott Elementary!

My Tuesday nights are spent watching DWTS with Evie. We've done this every year for the last four years. We make a whole night out of it, complete with snacks and voting for all of our fave couples. I look forward to it every Fall!
I'm currently on Fall Break and it's been very relaxing. Unfortunately, the family got sick a couple of days ago, but we all seem to be feeling better just in time to soak in the rest of our break.

Now that I'm getting back in the swing of things being a part-time working mom, I'm working on my future blog posts and already looking ahead at Blogmas and the upcoming Design Your Year challenge for 2026!
Honestly? I'd like a few updates to the house. I've been wanting a new bed for years, and there's odd and ends that I'd like to replace, like storage baskets and whatnot. I also wouldn't mind a few more work outfits.
A dishwasher would be lovely! And maybe a day to clean out the flower beds. It's almost time to do my new year cleaning tasks as well.
Evie is going to be 11 next week! Where did the time go? She is growing into a gorgeous young lady. She is constantly reminding me of what an answered prayer she is and of the beauty of God's creation. I'm so blessed to be the mother of Evie Pearl!
My dreams lately have been stress-induced. Last night, I had to lead some kind of vacation Bible school and I somehow broke my phone into three separate pieces. You can imagine the relief I felt when I woke up to my unbroken phone this morning!

I'm getting my Autumn Bucket List together and getting ahead on my Blogtober posts while I have time. I do not want to fall behind like I did last year (even though I was sick for a week and couldn't really help it).
Although I'm on break I'm still making lesson plans and taking time to decorate my classroom for autumn so that kids will have a cozy room to come back to when school resumes!
Thanks for spending the first week of Blogtober with me, Reader! I'll be back Monday to kick off week two!
